about the Law Firm

Attorney Jan Trapszyc graduated from the Law School of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. In the course of his studies:

– obtained the certificate of Legal English Skills (Toles HIGHER);

– studied at Università CaFoscari Venezia within the Erasmus+ programme (courses: international law, international business law, languages: English, Italian);

– participated (as a speaker) in national academic conferences pertaining to the subjects of law and diplomacy;

– completed Comparative Law School, organised by the Faculty of Law and Administration of Nicolaus Copernicus Universityin collaboration with Center for International Legal Studies in Salzburg;

– completed the basic module and military education NCO training for students within the framework of Academic Legion.

From the second year of his studies, Jan Trapszyc served his apprenticeship in law firms in Inowroclaw and Torun, in a notary’s office in Torun, and in the District Public Prosecutor’s Office Toruń-East in Torun. His master’s thesis (Birth of achild as a source of civil liability) was prepared under the supervision of Prof. K. Bączyk Rozwadowska from the academic department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure.

Jan Trapszyc served his legal training at the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Bar Association in Torun and at the Warsaw Bar Association in Warszawa (where he completed his training course). During his legal training he obtained the certificate of mediator issued by General Council of the Bar, CAE certificate and graduated from postgraduate studies in medical law organised by the Faculty of Law of the Nicolaus Copernicus University.

Additionally, during and immediately after his training as an attorney trainee, Jan Trapszyc worked in reputable law firms in Toruń and Warsaw. In the course of his practice and work, he has dealt primarily with issues of criminal law (especially commercial criminal law) and civil law, mainly in the field of broadly defined obligations (e.g. disputes between entrepreneurs, contractual or tort disputes, medical disputes, protection of personal rights), acting on behalf of clients at prosecutor’s offices, delegations of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau and common courts.

Immediately after the completion of his barrister’s apprenticeship, he achieved a positive result from the Bar Exam.

He has the vast experience in representing in criminal proceedings, at every stage, inter alia insurers, leasing companies, banks and foreign entities.

Attorney Jan Trapszyc speaks English and Russian.

From 2019 to 2024 Jan Trapszyc volunteered every year on 1 August as part of the „Freedom Connects” action organised by the Warsaw Uprising Museum.

Privately, he is interested in history and sports.
